Rift-cut white oak gives a different look than what most people are
accustomed to seeing in oak boards. As the picture shows, the grain lines

The original top of this table was
damaged beyond repair. I made a
new top and attached it to the
3-legged mahogany base. I added a
black lacquer finish and deliberately
caused some light crackling for a
distressed look.
